SUWA: Journal of Education and Counseling is committed to upholding academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all manuscripts published. As part of this commitment, every manuscript submitted to the journal will undergo a plagiarism screening process prior to peer review.

Plagiarism Checking

  • All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools).

  • The similarity index must be below 20%, excluding references, quotations, and bibliography.

  • If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the manuscript will be immediately rejected or returned to the author for revision, depending on the severity of the case.

Types of Plagiarism Considered Unethical:

  • Direct plagiarism: Copying text word-for-word without proper citation.

  • Self-plagiarism: Republishing one's own previously published work without disclosure or citation.

  • Mosaic plagiarism: Borrowing phrases from a source without quotation marks or mixing copied material with original content.

  • Improper paraphrasing: Rewriting someone else's ideas without sufficient rewording or attribution.

Consequences

  • Manuscripts found with serious plagiarism will be rejected immediately.

  • If plagiarism is identified after publication, the article will be retracted, and a public notice will be issued on the journal's website.

  • Authors involved in unethical conduct may be blacklisted from submitting future manuscripts.

SUWA: Journal of Education and Counseling encourages authors to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection tools prior to submission to avoid unintentional violations.
