Author Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to SUWA: Journal of Education and Counseling are expected to follow the guidelines below. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned without review.
1. Manuscript Scope
Submitted manuscripts must be relevant to the focus and scope of the journal, which includes topics in education and counseling such as:

Educational innovation, curriculum development, inclusive education, character education, educational management, and teacher development.

Counseling practices including educational, career, mental health, family, group, social, and Islamic counseling.
2. Language
Manuscripts must be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English, using academic and grammatically correct language. Consistency in language use must be maintained throughout the manuscript.
3. Originality and Copyright

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Authors are responsible for the content of their articles and must ensure proper citation of all sources.

All published articles will be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
4. Manuscript Format

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

Length: 4,000–7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing

Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

Page numbers must be included
5. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should follow this structure:
Title (clear, concise, maximum 15 words)
Author(s) Name and Affiliation
Abstract (150–250 words, in English and Bahasa Indonesia)
Keywords (3–5 keywords)
Introduction
Literature Review (if needed)
Method
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
References
6. Citation and References

Use APA Style (7th edition) for in-text citations and reference list.

It is recommended to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

At least 60% of references must come from recent sources (published within the last 10 years).

Use primary sources, especially from journals.
7. Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using similarity-check tools. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% (excluding references) will be automatically rejected.
8. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

The review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks.

Editorial decisions (accept, revise, reject) are based on reviewer recommendations.

10. Publication Fee
Currently, there is no article processing charge (APC) or submission fee for this journal.
