All manuscripts submitted to SUWA: Journal of Education and Counseling will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the scholarly content. This means that both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous throughout the review process.

Review Stages

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

    • Each submitted manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure it fits the journal's focus and scope, meets basic formatting requirements, and is free from plagiarism (checked using similarity detection tools).

    • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria will be desk rejected.

  2. Peer Review Assignment

    • Manuscripts passing the initial screening will be sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

    • The selection of reviewers is based on subject expertise, academic reputation, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  3. Double-Blind Review

    • Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

    • Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on:

      • Relevance and originality of the topic

      • Clarity of objectives and methodology

      • Accuracy and depth of analysis

      • Significance of findings

      • Quality of writing and adherence to ethical standards

  4. Review Outcomes

    • Each reviewer will recommend one of the following decisions:

      • Accept without revision

      • Accept with minor revisions

      • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)

      • Reject

    • The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.

  5. Revision Stage

    • If revisions are required, the manuscript will be returned to the author(s) for improvement. Authors must submit a revised version along with a response letter detailing how each comment has been addressed.

    • Revised manuscripts may be sent back to reviewers for a second round of evaluation.

  6. Final Decision and Publication

    • Once a manuscript is accepted, it will proceed to the copyediting, layout, and proofreading stages before publication in the next available issue.

Review Timeframe

The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks from the date of initial submission. Delays may occur depending on the availability of reviewers or the quality of revisions.

Ethical Considerations

Reviewers are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and to treat the manuscript and review process with strict confidentiality.
