Peer Review Process
The Journal of Education and Social Sciences (JEDSOC) follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original research. All submitted manuscripts go through the following steps:
-
Initial Evaluation
Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief performs an initial evaluation to assess the manuscript's relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, and overall quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's standards may be rejected at this stage. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are then subjected to a double-blind review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. -
Reviewers’ Recommendations
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as originality, clarity, methodology, validity of data, and contribution to the field. They provide feedback and make one of the following recommendations:- Accept as is
- Accept with minor revisions
- Major revisions required
- Reject
-
Author Revisions
If revisions are required, the manuscript, along with the reviewers’ feedback, is returned to the authors. Authors are expected to address each comment and submit a revised version of the manuscript. -
Final Decision
After revisions, the Editor-in-Chief reviews the revised manuscript, considering the reviewers’ final recommendations. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript. -
Publication
Accepted manuscripts are prepared for publication and scheduled for release in the upcoming issue. The final version is formatted and published online, accessible to the public as open access.
This peer-review process helps maintain the academic quality and integrity of the Journal of Education and Social Sciences (JEDSOC), ensuring that only valuable and reliable research is published.
